I'm not a single mom anymore, but I was when I bought my first home and then moved up to my second home. Yes, it was harder than if I had been with a husband or partner, but it can be done if you aren't in an area with sky-high home prices. Keep your credit report in good condition, save steadily, and make sure that when you go house-hunting that you have a buyer's agent instead of a seller's agent. You would learn a lot by sitting down with a sympathetic real estate agent and talking about what it would take to buy. I did it, and I'm not Superwoman, so you can do it too!
Reply:you're more than quaified go for it u can make yourself more dependent on your own instead of depending on other people
Reply:It is hard as hell to be a single parent - but it's totally possible.

I stayed in a bad marriage for YEARS partially due to the fact I was scared as hell that I couldn't do it alone. Well, I'm not only doing it - but I'm doing it BETTER and my children %26amp; I are HAPPIER and HEALTHIER!!

There are all kinds of loan programs out there for first time home buyers, women, single parents, etc. Do some research in your state; maybe even contact a realtor or your banks mortgage dept for info. Some can be really, really helpful.

Good luck!! It's possible and it's worth it.
Reply:GO FOR IT!!!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
