To every single christian with respect...only chritians plz?
Christians know that they don't have to memorize the Holy Bible word for word, it should be interpreted and understood with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Without that guidance, the interpretation can be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the understanding can be as wide as the universe. In other words, those who attempt to interpret it by himself without the help of the Holy Spirit can even create a different story which sometimes lead to the foundation of new christian churches. Hence, the protestants, Seventh day Adventists, the Baptists, the Mormons (Latter Day Saints) and more. Now, Born again Christians are becoming the trend. All point to the Catholic Church as a Doomsday Church. But if we try to observe, the Catholic church never ever tried to show resentment with all the negative propaganda against it. Instead, it always try to preach forgiveness and unity no matter how offensive the accusation it has faced since then.

What actually opened the gate to the different Biblical versions is nothing more than the upholding of human freedom. Freedom is a very delicate but admittedly the best possession man can ever have. Absolute freedom is precious to those who understand the positve attributes of it but likewise can become a dangerous social factor to those who refuse to respect it and would otherwise abuse it instead.

With freedom at hand, human mind was freed from the bondage of the past. It gave him the power to think freely, speak freely, believe freely and to choose freely. It freed the human mind from fear, anger, disillusionment, mental suppression and instead encouraged it to be creative, intuitive, critical, argumentative, reasonable, resourceful and productive. Thus, it is easy to see now why people have created airplanes, ocean vessels, space shuttles etc. including the discovery of the different sect coming from the one Christian Church of Jesus Christ as the Head. Can you see now what freedom can do? But all are individually answerable to God no matter what he or she believes and practice in his or her lifetime because a religion can never save you, it can only guide you towards God but the choice will always be yours.

I am a Roman Catholic and I believe I too has accountability towards God and whatever God decides for me at the end of time, I will wholeheartedly accept because I know I can never question Him and It is Him who alone can save me.
Reply:Grace unto you, and peace,

from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

"There is no respect of persons with God".

Nor any respect of persons with Son of God.

Even the Herodians perceived that much truth.

The law is not of faith: Gal 3:12

Whatsoever is not of faith is sin: Rom 14:23

My brethren, have not the faith(grace %26amp; truth) of our Lord Jesus Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons......if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. (James 1)

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
Reply:Yes there have been, check the Guiness book of records, your next question is not clear to me, the third, the Bible is made up of a series of Books that narrate events in which God's presence or action is prominent and significant.
Reply:1. Nope I don't think I can ever recognize it, especially the names, but I feast on them and nourish my soul daily

2. Visual significance?? what do you mean? my life is the symbol of my faith. My testimony of truth that came by the power of the Holy Ghost is the moving force in my life

3. Bible was translated many times and some of the are corrupted. I believe the Bible to be as long as it is translated correctly. But there is another witness of Christ - the Book of Mormon. so I can read both of them and understand the truth plainly
Reply:What's with this exclusively Christians thing, it's a bit insulting, YA is for everybody!

Qestion 1, I have read the bible and I am not a Christian, don't you care if maybe I have memorized the whole bible word for word ...or not just because I'm not a Christian.

Question 2, makes little sense.

Question 3, are Holly books special Christmas editions..you know "The Holly %26amp; The Ivy" etc.
Reply:comparing religions wont do you any good.

just believe in what you want.

one man's meat could be another man's poison.

if you feel like learning about other religions,

go ahead and do it but never compare them.

am a christian but i know all other religions are OK too!

no matter how or what they do!
Reply:(1) Is there any Christian who memorized the Bible word by word?

Which version? :)

Actually, I am sure there are a few, but not many. Most people don't have that amount of time or mental firepower and discipline to do so.

Anyone can get their hands on a copy of the Bible nowadays, so there's no practical need to do it. Before the printing press, there was great need to memorize. Now there is not.

Usually those with interest in the Scripture have memorized the general concepts along with some specific verses, simply because they are well-acquainted with the text, and they know how to quickly find the stuff they DON'T have memorized. It's not an issue.

However, I know the ancient Jewish rabbi-wannabes, as part of their adolescent schooling, were expected to memorize the Torah in its completion.

(2) Is there any visual significance of the truth of your religion?

I'm not sure what this question means, you need to clarify what you're asking for.

(3) Why are there so many Bibles or Holy Books... Why not a single one?

Not totally sure what this means either. The Protestant Bible is composed of 66 documents called "books," all compiled into one large book (the canon).

Catholics include additional documents called the Apocrypha. For whatever reason, the Catholic church considers these documents valuable, although their historicity is debated.

If you are asking why there are so many Bible translations, that mostly has to do with the fact that there are multiple ways and styles with which to translate a document from its original language to another.

Two basic methods are “word for word” and “general sense.” The first simply takes each word and rendered it in the new language, to preserve the literal accuracy of the text; the second looks at what is being said by a particular sentence, and translates that concept into the new language.

Both styles have weaknesses. With a “word for word” translation, often the word does not have an equivalent match in the new language, or the new word does not hold all the meanings of the old word. Also, it’s possible to render a word-for-word translation that completely loses the meaning of the sentence (this is why automated online translation software often renders bizarre sentences in the new language).

With a “general sense” translation, you do keep as much of the old meaning as possible, but you are also relying on the skill and open-mindedness of the translator, who is doing the interpreting. And if the passage could mean a few different things, you only get the interpreter’s version.

This gives compelling support for having different versions of the Bible, so that we can get a better sense of what is happening.

Also, the Bible is rendered into the language of the time and place where it is being published, so that it can be better understood by its audience. KJV for example was in the language of 1612 England, and English has changed a lot since then (some words have reversed their meaning), so modern-day translations have become popular.

Of course, I also wouldn't be honoring the skeptical if I didn't point out that most Christian publishing houses are owned by secular companies now, and so of course money is yet one more reason that numerous versions of the Bible are coming to market. :)

2. There are thousands of christian denominations and each of them claims to be the only true religion.so I am competely baffled.I don't know which to believe?

3.there are so many bibles cuz they are made to suit the life style of the countless interest groups. It is also believed that this is the doing of the devil.
