Will I be single for life? Anyone else think they will be?

I am a single, straight, successful, educated 28 year old male. I have never had a girlfriend and only went on 2 dates in my entire life when I was 23. I haven't had my first kiss yet or even a real passionate hug! I guess I simply have not found anyone I can relate to. I have absolutely no idea what it's like to have a girlfriend, it's completely alien to me. I suppose I can go the rest of my life being single and celibate LOL. A big part of the reason for my being single are my "old fashioned" values that few if any women have anymore. Basically, what I am saying is that I have given up. People tell me that I am being unreasonable and that I am destined to be bitter and miserable if I remain single. I don't believe this at all, I will just focus my life on my career and helping other people. That's more than enough in my opinion. What do you think?

Will I be single for life? Anyone else think they will be?
I feel like I will end up just like you.

Most of what you've said sounded just like me, except the age part LOL...

Although I'm younger than you and still in college, I hope that we will both find happiness in having a girlfriend soon.

I don't want to be single for the rest of my life because that would suck. I wish you all the best and don't give up yet because 28 is still pretty young; at least you're not like 30+ LOL.
Reply:what ever floats your boat but what are your values
Reply:awww. poor you. start giving free hugs. don't give up. love suppose to come unexpectedly.
Reply:okay being single for the rest of your life is (to me) impossible! but if u are its not tht bad put your time into the lord find love with him. he'll give you what you NEED! focus on your carrer and let love find you i promise it'll come! there is someone for everyone out here. everyone who surrounds you might be having sex and a new girl every day but thats bad! thats not what god wants. you need to stay celibate until you are married.

you will find someone who loves everything about you soon enough in life be patient and willing to compromise some habits and you'll be okay
Reply:I don't think you'd be writing in if you were happy about your situation, but you do seem to have given up. I'm going to give you a suggestion of where you can find a girl with your old-fashioned values: church. If you aren't going to a church now, you seriously need to join one. If you're not connected to a religion, then the Unitarian church is non-denominational and fairly liberal. But you may be lookin' (or not lookin') for love in all the wrong places. I think you do want someone. You need to be more positive and more hopeful. And wiser about where you're looking. Good luck!
Reply:thats your problem then mate u got old fashioned views and stuck in the olden days
Reply:Man, you are like "the future version of the old Mark (thats me)"

i used to think the same thing man, I understand exactly where you are coming fro. Infact, I was suicidal for 6 years because of this kind of delema.

But my life is completely turned on its head man when I stumbled across this guys site back in Feb 2006: thedatingwizard.com

Check it out man.

I hope you find the same level of success with women that I have.
Reply:You sound great.

The fact that you want/have more old fashioned values is good becuase thats what i like too. just get out heaps, maybe go to a certain coffee shop once a week so that you make some more friends.
Reply:join a dating service maybe ;) your still young! enjoy life, but dont get stuck in a rutt believing you're always going to be single, the power of the mind is an incredible tool
