does anyone know where i can buy a cheap single red rose online and have it delivered somewhere? most of the websites i've checked don't have single red roses, and the ones that do run high in price.
Single rose?
I don`t know about delivery, but if there is a Krogers grocery in your area, they sell single roses.

Reply:The problem you are going to run into is that florists have a minimum amount they require before they will deliver, plus they have a delivery charge. For that reason, it's hard to get ONE rose delivered and have it cost less than $25 or $30 by the time you factor in delivery and sales tax. If they have a $20 or $25 minimum, they would have to charge you $20 for it, even if all you want is one rose. Then add on anywhere from $5 to $10 for delivery, plus tax. You can make it worth your value if you add in a stuffed animal or box of candy or balloons or some other giftware to bump it up to the minimum though.
If you want the rose delivered locally, you are MUCH better off going in to the florist personally, buying the one rose and delivering it yourself. If you want the "surprise" factor, just deliver it to the person's work address and leave them there when she/he is not around and ask one of their coworkers to call them up to accept a delivery while you slip out the door unnoticed. Or, leave it on the doorstep at their home with a card, ring the doorbell and run :) Or, leave it on their car when they are out somewhere. If you aren't geographically close to the person, try calling some of the florists locally to see what their minimum is and what delivery charge would be. Look up the florists for that town in the online yellow pages, then start calling. Using online services almost ALWAYS means you are going to pay multiple service charges because there are SO many "services" out there that are really simply order gatherers who have zero knowledge about flowers or florists yet they take your order, take their percentage out, then simply forward it on to an appropriate florist. So you are paying a little bit out to all the middle men in between and end up with a lot higher cost for a lot less product. Trust me, I've been in the florist business my entire life and am a designer and manager right now. Good luck!
Reply:Chekc your grocery stores and your local Wal Mart, they all sell single roses, the ones from florists are pricey.
