Issues With Being Single??

I've been single now for the past four months, and while I love the freedom and I have no regrets about ending my past relationship - it can kinda suck sometimes. I just wanted to hear from other single (or previously single) people, about your experience flying solo.





With me right now, I'm dating someone, but its nothing serious, and it works because I'm not ready for that now. But at times, I miss having someone to stay in with and watch movies, and just feel totally comfortable around. So... how is/was it for you being single?

Issues With Being Single??
Girl. I've been single for almost four years I would say. My last relationship was in 11th grade and im a junior in college now! Go figure! When I started college I was more interested in getting my bachelor's than a guy!! Im going into my senior year in the fall so I guess its okay now!! :) During high school its so easy to get into a relationship but when you're older you begin to think about it as a real commitment and going through the normal ups and downs. Its way more serious. Im going to be 22 this month and planning on having a relationship with someone soon. I waited until i felt I was ready and the right guy....JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE READY AGAIN. Thats all I can say to you!
Reply:You're lucky. At least you were in a relationship before. I haven't dated anybody all my life. So you're not the only one feeling this way. On the plus side (for me), I don't have to spend my money on a girl. I like the freedom. Most people these days are too shallow to realize the cons of dating somebody, instead looking at the pros, which is why they get in fights all the time. Thats just what I think.
Reply:I am happily single. I'm 21, am still in school, love to travel, and don't like the feeling of being tied down. When I'm meant to find a boyfriend, I will. But for now, I'm having the time of my life as a single gal. Single life is what you make of it.
Reply:I have been single for the past 6 years. It has its pros and cons obviously.





Pros - I can do exactly as I please, go out when I like, go to bed when I like, play the music I like, spend my money how I like. Don't have to consider a partner. Be on Yahoo answers all night!





Cons - no one to share my life with. Sleeping with myself every night.





When I was younger, being single was ok, even preferable. Now I'm tired of being single and wish to be in a relationship. However, I'd rather be single than be in a bad relationship.





So, yeah, I agree, being single can suck sometimes. And the older you get, the more it sucks! But sucking is not all bad ;-)
Reply:i m too single from last 8 years after divorce with my spouse. though i feel voidness in my life, but still i m habitual of life. i m very selective and hardly move ahead easily , cos now a days every relationship based on give and take , which i never like . true love /friendship never want all this.
Reply:It is rough being single at first, I just came out of a one year relationship. It's ok now what. I just go to bookstores and flirt here and there with strangers I don't even know. I am not really looking for anything serious. My advice is to just be playful and enjoy it even though it can be tough sometimes.
